Using Social Media Share Buttons [Video]

March 9, 2016 by Rebecca Metz

Are you looking for ways to get more traffic on your blog posts?  One of the easiest ways to get more blog traffic is by making it easy to share your blog with others by using social media share buttons.

When your visitor reads your amazing article, it is quite possible that they will think of several people that would benefit from the information you shared or feel that their tribe will really resonate with your topic. In addition, when people find something really cool on the web, they may want to show off that they, too, can be a resource – which gives them good social credibility.

Use @shareaholic sexy bookmarks to make it EASY for your blog readers to share your content!

We have a great opportunity to help them out.  Make it EASY to share your post!
A plug in that will help you do this and you can easily install onto your WordPress website is called Sexy Bookmarks brought to you by Shareaholic. This tool is more easily shown than written about, so I created this video showing how it is used.

In the demonstration, my client Coach Sally wrote an article about how parents can save time, money and frustration when planning for college. If I had read this article and wanted to share with my friends, I would use the social sharing buttons below the article.  This would pull in the picture and a bit of the content in my social media post.  I can write a little bit about the article and share it with whatever social media I choose.  It also helps my friend Coach Sally by spreading the world about her article.

This is also good to do with your own blog articles. Once you write them, you can use the share button to share them with others and get more traction for your articles.  I did this after I completed an article that I included a tutorial on how to create a holiday image for Facebook (Create a Thanksgiving Facebook Image).  I was able to share it to my Facebook personal timeline as well as my Facebook page.

I hope you found this helpful!  Do you know others that would find it helpful? Please use the share buttons below!
